UT3 Cache Extractor (Cache Cleaner)

The UT3 Cache Extractor is a small utility program which will extract downloaded items from your Unreal Tournament 3 cache; people sometimes refer to this a cache cleaner. When you play on servers and do not have certain maps or supporting files, Unreal Tournament will automatically download them for you. The cache is a fixed size, and is purged periodically removing older items. This utility will allow you move items from the temporary cache into the appropriate Unreal Tournament folder so you will never have to download it again!

This application uses an algorithm to determine the correct file type, so it works for UnrealScript (.u) and package files (.upk), instead of just maps (.ut3) unlike most of the other extractors.

Requirements:

Unreal Tournament 3, Microsoft .Net 2.0 Runtime

UT Int Generator

The UTINTGenerator is a small utility program which will build int files for .u files extracted by the UTCacheExractor (or another cache utility). This utility will scan the UT system folder for .u files that do not have a corresponding .int file, and generate one for you. As a precaution against unnecessary (and unwanted) int entries, you will need to fill out the description portion of the generated int files manually, and uncomment the entries before they will be recognized by UT. Unfortunately, it is impossible to accurately fill out the description based on parsing the .u files.

UT2004 Cache Extractor

The UT Cache Extractor is a small utility program which will extract downloaded items from your Unreal Tournament, UT2003 or UT2004 cache. When you play on servers and do not have certain maps or supporting files, UT/UT2003/UT2004 will automatically download them for you. The cache is a fixed size, and is cleared after 30 days by default. This utility will allow you move items from the temporary cache into the appropriate UT/UT2003/UT2004 folder so you will never have to download it again!

The utility can also show you a list of installed maps, textures, static meshes, etc.  It also provides a shell for compressing files for use with a UT, UT2k3, or UT2k4 server redirect.

GMS Graphic File Converter

The GMS Graphic File Converter is a command line utility to convert images from one format to another. I built this to use for making batch conversions of textures for UT2004, but it will work with any of the supported formats.

This application requires the MW Graphics dlls to be installed. I am forbidden by license agreement to distribute the dlls, however you can download them here:

A big thanks goes out to Martin Wright for providing these awesome dlls! 🙂

UT2004 Screen Capture Converter

The UT Screen Capture Converter is a small utility program which will automatically convert bmp screenshot files made by UT, UT2003 or UT2004 to smaller jpg files. You can convert and leave the files in your system folder, or convert and move them to a directory of your choice, or just move them. You can also rename the default sequential names with a name representing the date and time the screenshot was taken. Very handy!

No installation is necessary. Copy the contents of this zip file to the system folder in your game directory. The application is self-configuring.

File Cleaner

File Cleaner will delete all of the files in a directory and its subdirectories that are older than a particular date. It is useful if you need to cleanup older files in a directory structure. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you run the application in simulate mode and check the log PRIOR to “cleaning” a folder. The log file will show all the files that will be deleted, and you should verify that this list does not contain any files you do not wish to remove. Deleted files will NOT be sent to the recycle bin!

Tree Pruner

Deletes all files but not directories

Tree Pruner will delete all of the files in a directory and its subdirectories, but will not remove the directories themselves. It is useful if you need to delete all the files in a directory structure, but want to preserve the directory structure itself.

NOTE: Please read the documentation before using.
